Chapter Four: Chris’s first trip to Nashville had no success, but while in Knoxville on his way back to Abilene to work at a bank, he had an unlikely backstage meeting with a country music legend. That meeting brought him back to Nashville and began opening doors of opportunity with legendary artists like Chet Atkins, and Jerry Reed. It proved to be the start of his first break into the industry. It also led to a chance meeting at the Grand Ole Opry with country singer/songwriter Larry Gatlin that would prove to be invaluable for decades to come.
