Chapter Nine: Chris moved back to Nashville, where he eventually landed a job running the Nashville division of the Twentieth Century-Fox Music Publishing Company. He subsequently bought a new home in Brentwood, Tennessee for $25,000 using bank stock his Grandparents gave him as a young boy. It was in this Brentwood home where he installed his own studio in the basement, naming it Gold Mine Recording Studio. Olivia Newton-John would stay there as she recorded her first album in the USA. BJ Thomas would record a Grammy-winning album and a #2 Billboard hit “Don’t Worry Baby” and so many other major artists would record there such as Little River Band.

What he could not have known at the time was what was to take place in that basement would not only create many Gold Records but also change the face of Gospel music, impacting the lives of millions across the world.
